DO YOU BOOK DIY SHOWS?-All of you who book shows across the United States or actually anywhere in the world, get in touch. Trying to build a good network of DIY venues/promoters for Asian Man Records bands. So get in touch if you can help with booking. mikeasianman@aol.com
TRADES: Anybody live in the bay area?? Near San Francisco? Want to trade stuff for Asian Man cds, shirts, etc. What free stuff you ask?? Basically anything...if you work in a restaurant, theater, any type of entertainment like arcades, batting cages, amusement parks, blah blah....anything. Let's trade!! Anything we have at Asian Man is up for trade. Actually, even if you live in a different state/country get in touch as I tour often and perhaps will end up through your town. BOOYAH!!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Bob and I play in the band Shinobu. I'm
here at Asian Man this morning chillin' like a
villain, and enjoying the unusually (actually,
usually) awesome November weather here in the Bay
Area. Mike and I have been listening to Gary Radnich
on KNBR 680 (the local sports talk station) and he is
a genius. NOBODY CARES, right? (Ironically that is one
Gary's many catchphrases.) Nice.
I got some news to relay from the ol' shacho himself,
Mike. First, the Mike Hale/Chris Wollard split is back
in stock, and we have about 90 pink and 90 clear
vinyl copies left(this is out of 300 pink and 300 clear). I bet these are gonna sell out
again quickly. (In contrast, the Shinobu/Pteradon
split hasn't even sold 150 yet, period! DOH! This is a
not so subtle hint to get you to help a brother out!)
NICE.
Second, we finally have Broadways hoodies back in
stock after nearly a year. NICE!
Third, we got some new Five Iron Frenzy soccer jerseys
in stock, hopefully they'll be up on the site soon.
NIICE!
I've been listening to the upcoming Lemuria record
every time that I come here to Asian Man. It is sooooo
good! What a totally tight band. NIIICE!
Also, for any of you folks who live in the Bay Area, I
just wanted to give you all a heads up about our
bowling nights here in San Jose. SJSU has a bowling
alley in the student union basement, and Sunday nights
are half price, so if anyone's interested we go almost
every Sunday at 6:30 or 7:00. Come on down and meet an
assorted posse of weirdos and nice folks. It is mega
cheap and mega fun. Skylar gets real competetive and
surly, Dan from MONKEY always kicks our butts, and Max from
Pteradon looks like an ostrich after every release.
PEACE!
