We're a week away from Halloween and how I wish I was still in single digits racing up and down the neighborhood trying to accumulate as much candy as humanly possible, but those days are long gone and my only resolve is to be the grown up that gives away the candy. Damn, candy is expensive. I want to be that guy who gives friggin full size candy bars out, but I have join the ranks in bite size minis of our favorites such as Snickers, Kit Kat, Hershey Krackle, Mr. Goodbar, and damn....I hope I don't eat it all before the 31st.
All is calm at Asian Man HQ.... I am preparing for a new chapter in life as my wife is 8 months pregnant as I excitedly wait for my first child to enter the world. So business as usual doesn't quite work for me. I feel like I'm going through the motions as the bigger picture has been put in place for me, but of course the wheels are still turning. I'm still packing mail order, answering letters, dealing with crazed bands, etc.. It's just that I've got a lot more on my mind these days. Ya know what I'm saying.
Regardless of what's going on in my life, this has always been a favorite time of year. The weather is perfect and the leaves change colors and fall to the ground. Memories of stomping through the streets making crunch sounds on the piles of leaves and the smell of fire places being lit for the first time since winter. Ahhhhhh... FUN FUN.
By the way, I must say thanks to all of you who have written in and said congratulations on getting married and for the baby that is coming. It's an amazing feeling to have total strangers rooting for you. So again... Thank you.
Peace,
Mike Park
