Dearest friends,
I am currently in Charlotte, NC on the Plea For Peace tour. We have tomorrow off, which will be spent doing laundry, catching up with letter writing, and tons of other odds and ends. Hats off goes to Miya for keeping the fort down all by her londsome. She's such an amazing person. I can't imagine this label without her. Perhaps I get to much credit for this label, as I know that there would be no asian man if Miya didn't contribute her personality and confidence to the cause.

Lots of new releases are coming forth. The new Peacocks(From Switzerland) record is amazing. If you're not familiar with this band, you're in for a treat. Fantastic rock n' roll with an upright bass player, huge melodies, and their Swiss culture to boot. Check out an MP3 and hear for yourself. I'm still working on re-releasing some classic SKA records that have been out of print, but trying to track down members of bands past has proved to be harder than expected. But we'll see what happens. Whenever I confirm a new release I'll make sure to post it on the coming soon section.

Though I'm loving tour, the bands on tour, the excitement of meeting new people everyday, etc........the thought of summer in the bay area is an exciting time. I'll have June/July to enjoy with friends back home and I'll be sure to have some Asian Man Records events planned. We'll have a baseball day at the A's game and definitely a day at the beach, so check back for more details. Take care y'all and remember to smile.
