Well, well...I must say that the last 52 days of my life have been the most interesting and physically/mentally draining experience I've ever encountered. Without mixing to many words to explain my dilemma.........I'll just say that I've experienced some of the most horrible music, in a horrible atmosphere, with every band looking the same/sounding the same, every male wearing tight black t-shirts, trendy tatoos everywhere, MTV generation brain washing the youth, and argghhhhhh.....I can't wait to get home. You're probably asking what the hell I'm talking about.. Well, ya see I've been on Warped Tour as the road manager for the Alkaline Trio. And besides the great Alkaline Trio and a few select other bands, this tour has been pretty bland. But even more crazier is that now that I've done it once, I want to do it again. Now I know what to expect and I feel like I can promote some kind of awareness to these kids that there's more out there in music than ....(Insert shitty band name here)I hate to be mean, so I won't name names. But if you're reading this then you probably already know what I'm talking about. Anyways, let me know your thoughts or experiences. Well, on to brighter things. Let's talk about the PLEA FOR PEACE/TAKE ACTION TOUR. Once again I will be volunteering my time to be co-present this years tour with SUB CITY RECORDS. The tour will start in Boston on September 13th and run through October 28th. We're all very excited about this years tour. The focus once again will be on SUICIDE PREVENTION. We will donate 10% of the gross ticket receipts. We should donate well over $100,000 to charity. I will be road managing this years tour, but I won't be performing, so please say hi to me if you see me. Don't be scared. I've had kids come up to me and say they were intimidated to say hello, but don't be.. I just look mean. I'm really nice. At least that's what my mom tells me. In my previous newsletter I talked about putting out a compilation of unknown/unsigned bands and I asked for your feedback. Well, after getting hudreds of letters in support of this compilation I have decided on releasing it. So here's the scoop for all you bands out there that want on this compilation. Please send no more than 2 songs for consideration. If you send more than 2 songs, I'll pass on it right away.(I don't care if you've sent in a cd or tape before. I can't remember it and I don't know where it is, so please send a new one)
