DO YOU BOOK DIY SHOWS?-All of you who book shows across the United States or

DIY venues/promoters for Asian Man Records bands. So get in touch if you can
help with booking. email@example.com
TRADES: Anybody live in the bay area?? Near San Francisco? Want to trade stuff
for Asian Man cds, shirts, etc. What free stuff you ask?? Basically
anything...if you work in a restaurant, theater, any type of entertainment like
arcades, batting cages, amusement parks, blah blah....anything. Let's trade!!
Anything we have at Asian Man is up for trade. Actually, even if you live in a
different state/country get in touch as I tour often and perhaps will end up
through your town. BOOYAH!!
Happy March everyone. Time continues to fly as we enter the third month of 2011. So much going on, I don't even know where to start. Here we go....
Repeat after me: RATASUCIA
What does that mean? I have no idea? Let me look it up.
I just looked it up on dictionary.com and nothing came up. Maybe it's Spanish? ahhh. yes. DIRTY RAT. That's what it means.. Ok.. anyways....
This is a brand new band featuring DAN HANAWAY and CHRIS CARR from the HONOR SYTEM, BROADWAYS, SLAPSTICK to name a few.
If you're familiar with Dan Hanaway's music you'd be expecting a JAWBOX, JAWBREAKER kind of sound. Which is what I was expecting, but what I got was a friggin explosion of intensity. Where do I start? How do I describe the music. It kind of reminds me of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, meets the MISFITS, mixed with DAVID BOWIE, HOT SNAKES, THE STOOGES, and THE DIGITS.
So please please check out the music here at: http://facebook.com/pages/Ratasucia/150301005028702?ref=ts
They will heading out west in June to play at the Asian Man 15 year anniversary.
Look for a June release for the full length on CD and VINYL.
SMOKING POPES pre-orders. CD'S have shipped out, but the vinyl is slightly delayed. The vinyl pre-orders won't be going out until around March 15th.
I have sent download codes to all of you who ordered the vinyl. If you didn't get one, please let me know and I'll get that to you.
The Popes have a new video for the song PUNK BAND. You can view here:
KUDROW/HARD GIRLS split 7"
SAINTE CATHERINES "DEAD DOG" 7"
and SPRAYNARD "FUNTITLED" are all at the pressing plant now.
Should have the 7 inches ready for mailorder starting in April.
Wayne Stahl from the band FOR.THE.WIN has just finished a solo album that we have available in the webstore.
We also got a bunch of the LEMURIA/CHEAP GIRLS 7" on No Idea up in our webstore. And we got the last 31 copies of the KEPI GHOULIE ART OF THE UNDERGROUND 7" series. Once they're gone, they're gone forever.
and then the almighty SPRAYNARD is coming out on May 10th.
The new SPRAYNARD album sounds delicious. We'll be posting some songs on their facebook page soon.
Their album cover makes me giggle and I just saw the full layout of the LP and all I can say is GENIUS. I'm looking forward to meeting these kids in June as they make their way out for the AM festival.
Speaking of the asian man festival, I will be getting up an information page in the next week or so, but if you have any questions, please feel free to email me.

Their music is beautiful.
And finally, I hate plugging my own stuff, but I have finished my children's album. It's called "SMILE" (11 songs) I've tested them on my own kids (ages 4 and 2) and they have given it the thumbs up. So look for this sometime in May or June. I will do a limited run on vinyl just for those collector nerds. So some thing small like 100 copies will be going out.
And that's it folks. Be well. Smile big.
peace, mike park
