DO YOU BOOK DIY SHOWS? - All of you who book shows across the United States, get in touch with me please. Asian Man Records bands want to tour, so get in touch if you can help with booking. mikeasianman@aol.com TRADES: Anybody live in the bay area?? Near San Francisco?? Want to trade stuff for Asian Man Records CDs, shirts, etc.. What free stuff you ask?? Basically anything... if you work in a restaurant, theater, any type of entertainment like arcades, batting cages, amusement parks, blah blah.... anything. Let's trade!! Anything we have at Asian Man is up for trade. Happy Thursday! Hope all is well with everyone. OK!! Here we go….. Lemuria will be doing their next record with Bridge 9. What does that mean? Means that Lemuria is going to get a lot more attention that I could ever give them and that’s awesome. I think they’re going to do extremely well and am excited to see them in a position to succeed. They’ll be in town in a few months, so I’m looking forward to hearing the new songs live and getting a chance to hang out. The BOMB THE MUSIC INDUSTRY vinyl has arrived….!! Yay, we are in the process of shipping out all the orders. This will take about 2-3 days, so I think we’ll have everything done and out of the garage by Monday at the latest. I love vinyl, but dang it’s a lot of work to put out these pieces of wax. For those living in the northern California area, remember that Friday is the FOR THE WIN record release show at Nickel City in San Jose. They do shows in the birthday room and between bands you can play video games for a nickel. Can’t beat that. And it will be one of the last shows for CLASSICS OF LOVE(opening the show) before they take some time off to record their next record. But yes, hope to see many familiar faces at the show. To my surprise, the SMOKING POPES are in the studio this very moment working on their next full length. I had thought that the re-issues were going to come out first, but the band has informed me they want the new record out with the new songs out there for the world to hear. Matt Allison at ATLAS STUDIOS in Chicago is doing the producing and this can only mean good things for fans of the popes. Why is that you ask? Well, that means they’ll start venturing away from the Midwest and doing shows in other parts of the world. California? Pleasel…. But yup, they’ll start off by heading to Insubordination Fest in Baltimore in June. Along with the QUEERS, KEPI, MAX LEVINE ENSEMBLE, and NOISE BY NUMBERS. Still waiting to get final confirmation on the SUNDOWNER release date and title. Hopefully will have something next week to share with y’all. WHAT ELSE? Hmmmm…. Can’t think of anything right now, so I’ll end this here. Enjoy your weekend ahead. peace to all. -mike park mikeasianman@aol.com And remember all these good releases that are just out or are coming out.
